Paraklesis

“All those do you shelter, O Good One, those who in their faith flee unto you, with your strong hand, you protect; we who sin have no one else who intercedes for us before God, praying endlessly, in ills and all dangers, for we who are laiden with our many sins and mistakes; Mother of our God in the Highest, therefore, we fall down to you, humbly; from all the misfortunes, keep your servants safe.” Hymn from Paraklisis.

During the month of August, we will offer each evening the Paraklesis service to the Theotokos alternating between the Great and Small Canon. During these services we commemorate the names of the LIVING and while we many not be able to attend services, this page will give the opportunity to summit those names. Please note that once your names have been offered they will be commemorated at each Paraklisis service, so that you will only need to offer them once.

*Please note this system requires a small offering. When submitting your names, please list full Baptismal Names, no nicknames, or last names.

If you do not wish to submit your names electronically using the online system, you may also submit names to be prayed for in the following ways:

• Forms are provided on the Candle Stand in the Narthex, which can be submitted during the Paraklesis Services or if on another day, please give them to a Parish Council member.

• You may email your names to the Cathedral at office@atlgoc.org.

• You may drop them by the Cathedral Office between 9:30 AM and 4 PM.

Please remember it is very important to attend at least one of the Paraklesis Services, so that you may pray for your loved ones.
