The Clergy oversees the entire spiritual and administrative life of our Cathedral and Day School, with the support and efforts of the Parish Council

 

 

PARISH COUNCIL

Membership: All baptized/chrismated adult parishioners who are in good spiritual standing for one year are eligible to run for one of the eighteen elected positions. Annual elections take place in the Music Suite, adjacent to the Cathedral. All parishioners in good standing are eligible to vote and the council members serve a three-year term. 

 

Meetings: The council convenes on the third Tuesday of every month at the Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. or as deemed necessary by the priest or parish council.

 

Purpose: The parish council is the body which manages and oversees all operations of the Cathedral and the parish community under the guidance of the Clergy. Its duties include administering the parish's practical affairs in a manner which aids the priests.  Also, the council is responsible for all the parish business and fundraising activities.

Purpose: The Cathedral Office staff is an integral part of the everyday life at the Cathedral. All records, appointments, information, newsletters, bulletins, scheduling of events (meetings, memorials, sacraments, etc.), mailings, phone calls, etc., are handled by the staff.
